This February 14th, 2016 will be the 17th annual Sweetest Little Thing: the most important annual fundraising event for The Owen’s Art Gallery and Struts Gallery & Faucet Media Arts Centre in Sackville, NB.

Presented in partnership on Valentine’s Day since 1999, The Sweetest Little Thing is a contemporary art auction and an evening of entertainment attracting over 500 people to the live event and many more online visitors and absentee bidders. The funds raised go directly to the ongoing programming at both galleries.

Organizers are asking for donations of small-scale works for inclusion in a silent auction on Valentine’s Day, Sunday February 14th, 2016 at the Owen’s Art Gallery. In return for the donation of your work you will receive an official charitable donation receipt from Struts Gallery for the amount realized at the auction.

Over the years so many artists from all over Canada and beyond have so generously contributed, it is impossible to express how appreciative the organizers are — Thank you!

Works must be received by Monday February 1st, 2016 at 5 pm along with this downloadable form. All works will be available online and on view in the gallery on Monday February 8th, allowing the work to be previewed in person and online for one week in advance of the February 14th live event.

Masonite boards and small boxes can be picked up at 7 Lorne Street in Sackville if you wish to use one or the other. If you can’t make it in to Struts & Faucet but would like to use a masonite board, please let organizers know.

The organizing committee has begun to work on making the 2016 Sweetest Little Thing an unforgettable evening. You can get some sense for yourself at www.sweetestlittlething.ca

If you have any questions, please contact Amanda Fauteux at Struts Gallery & Faucet Media Arts Centre (info@strutsgallery.ca) or Rachel Thornton at the Owen’s Art Gallery (owens@mta.ca).

Thank you for your generous support. They look forward to hearing from you and to seeing your contribution.
