Due to popular demand, evenko and Live Nation have just announced that Colin James will perform a second show at the Capitol Theatre in Moncton on Sunday, March 1st. This show is in addition to the already scheduled performance in Moncton on Saturday, February 28th. He will also perform in Charlottetown at the Confederation Centre on Monday, March 2nd. All shows begin at 8 pm.

Canadian Music Industry Hall of Fame inductee, James will release his 16th studio album, Hearts On Fire on February 3, 2015 via Universal Music Canada. The album will be made available for pre-order on December 9, 2014. At that time, purchasers will receive the track “Just A Little Love” as an instant gratitude track. In conjunction with the release of the album, James will also embark on his first cross Canada tour since 2012.

Hearts On Fire was co-produced by James and long-time collaborator, Colin Linden (ABC’s Nashville). The album was recorded at House of Blues in Nashville, TN and Magic Ten Studios in Vancouver, BC.

“Making this record with my good friend, Colin Linden with such a fantastic veteran rhythm section was an amazing experience,” said James. “The majority of the recording was done in Nashville during a stretch of warm spring weather so every time I hear the songs I feel like I’m right back in the South. I hope my fans enjoy listening to this record as much as we all enjoyed making it.”

The lead single, “Just a Little Love” was recorded in Nashville, TN. The song features a stellar line-up of musicians, including George Receli (drums and percussion), Willie Weeks (bass), Reese Wynan (keyboards), Colin Linden (guitar) and Ann and Regina McCrary (back-up vocals). Special for the coming holiday season, James has written and recorded a brand new track, “By December” that will be serviced to radio and available as a separate digital single on December 9th that will not be included on the new album.

James has won six Juno Awards, including Male Vocalist of the Year and the Best Producer award for his efforts with The Little Big Band. He is the recipient of 17 Maple Blues Awards having most recently been honoured in 2013 with Entertainer of the Year.
