The FrancoFête en Acadie 2012 is almost here!

The FrancoFête en Acadie 2012 is almost here! Close to 60 artists will take the stage during various events throughout the five day performing arts extravaganza. The public will have the opportunity to hear and see the best of the Francophone music scene and to take in after hours shows. The City of Dieppe will welcome the 16th edition of the annual artistic event in Atlantic Provinces, November 7 to 11.

Various FrancoFête en Acadie public events will be held at the Dieppe Arts and Culture Centre, the auditorium at Jeanne-de-Valois on the Université de Moncton campus, the Capitol Theatre, and the Empress Theatre. A new after hours programming will be held at the Plan b bar.

The professional component of the FrancoFête will be held at the Ramada Plaza Crystal Palace hotel (499 Paul Street, Dieppe).

New this year: FrancoFête public passes
For music fans who want to take it all in, FrancoFête public passes are for sale. Pass holders will be able to take in the various showcases and will have priority to get into the “Oiseaux de nuit” evenings at the Empress Theatre, where space will be limited. Public passes are on sale for $28 for students and $48 regular.

Official opening
The FrancoFête en Acadie’s official opening ceremony will take place on Wednesday November 7 at starting at 5 pm with a cocktail reception at the Dieppe Arts and Culture Centre located at 331 Acadia Avenue. The event, during which RADARTS will hand out its 2011-2012 awards to its members, will begin at 6:30 pm. The public is invited.
