Win a Fishing Trip for Two at Larry’s Gulch

The Beaverbrook Art Gallery in Fredericton is pleased to offer a chance to win a fishing trip for two at Larry’s Gulch on the beautiful Restigouche River near Kedgwick, New Brunswick.

Politicians, celebrities and professional athletes, such as Prime Minister Brian Mulroney, President George H. W. Bush and late baseball player, Ted Williams, have all enjoyed the serenity of fishing for Atlantic salmon on the world-renowned Restigouche River. Guests of Larry’s Gulch have caught salmon in the 40 lb. range, while the largest ever caught on the Restigouche River weighed 70 lbs.

Larry’s Gulch lodge accommodates up to 16 people with a variety of private and shared rooms. Each room is equipped with its own bathroom, including shower or bathtub. Guests enjoy full home-cooked meals including local specialties like salmon and fiddleheads all while overlooking the magnificent river.

“The Gallery is honoured to have received this extraordinary fishing experience from the Department of Culture, Tourism and Healthy Living on behalf of Minister Holder. Larry’s Gulch has been a highly prized package at past Gallery events and we anticipate a strong response to the raffle,” said Darren McLeod, the Gallery’s Manager of Development and Marketing.

The Beaverbrook Art Gallery will be raffling off this $2,000 package consisting of a two night stay (June 6 to 8, 2012) at Larry’s Gulch with all necessary gear, canoes, and guides provided, including a fishing rod to share. You and your guest will be given the opportunity to fish eight kilometers of Larry Gulch’s special reserve water with the help of one of their knowledgeable guides.

Raffle tickets are $10 each, or $25 for three and can be purchased until April 26 at the Gallery front desk (506) 458-2028. The winner will be drawn at the Gallery’s spring exhibitions opening on the evening of Thursday, April 26.
