Not From Concentrate Exhibition in Fredericton

Exhibition runs from March 16th till April 30th, 2012.

The Charlotte Street Arts Centre is pleased to support New Brunswick’s finest emerging talent by hosting the upcoming exhibition, Not From Concentrate, in the Charlotte Glencross Gallery from March 16th till April 30th, 2012.

Not From Concentrate is a group show by graduating students in the Photography program at the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design. The exhibition will feature a diverse selection of work by fresh-squeezed, up-and-coming photographers Erin Colwell, Roger Flanagan, Chelsea Stevens, Emily Jackson, Robyn Guptill, Larry Holder, Cheyenne Williams, Annapurna Moffatt and Anne-Marie Rolfe.

About themselves, the group states: “Who are we? We are not from concentrate. Our focus is the study and execution of the highest quality artistic and commercial prints in photography. Some of us will be moving into purely commercial sectors, some of us purely artistic and some a focus of both, but all of us share the singular passion of the image and the power therein.”

Photography department head, Peter Gross, affirms, “This is a really rich and diverse exhibition, from the declarative to the contemplative.” Visitors can expect to find juicy images of everything from foodie obsessions, to faceless portraiture, to textured, mixed media compositions, to ‘lumen’ alternative process prints, and the intriguing variety doesn’t end there.

Join us at the Charlotte Street Arts Centre for the opening reception of Not From Concentrate on Friday, March 16th, from 5-7pm. All are welcome to attend. Browse the work, meet the artists, enjoy live music by our house band, Richard Gloade, Esq and sample beer tastings by Picaroons Traditional Ales. The Charlotte Glencross Gallery is located in the Charlotte Street Arts Centre at 732 Charlotte Street.
