
Two members of popular local band, The BackYard Devils, Erik Arsenault and Christien Belliveau will perform as part of the Beaumont Summer Performances on Monday, July 18th, at 7:30 pm.
Érik Arsenault and Christien Belliveau are half of the BackYard Devils. Their own twist on the bluegrass/ country/ hillbilly/ rockabilly genres have gotten a following which keeps on growing. Their first album was launched in May.
As a duo, Érik and Christien will offer a more acoustic set as part of the Beaumont Summer performances. They will perform folk pieces many of which are their own compositions.
The Sainte-Anne de Beaumont chapel can accommodate up to 150 persons. Admission is 7 $ at the door. Shows begin at 7:30 p.m. The chapel is located on Beaumont Rd (route 925) which is accessible via route 106. For more details: www.chapellebeaumont.ca.
Declared a historic site in 1990, the Beaumont chapel was built at the request of the inhabitants of the Mikmaq Community in 1839. The chapel was also a place of worship for the Acadians living in the area.
