Students Create Summer Jobs

The New Brunswick government’s Student Employment and Experience Program (SEED) offers interest-free loans to students who wish to create summer employment and gain valuable business experience  by operating their own business.

Do you know any students who would like to run their own business this summer?

In order to be eligible, applicants must be at least 16 years of age and returning to full-time studies in the fall. Their business must be operated in New Brunswick for at least 6 weeks between April 1 and Labour Day weekend. Applicants must submit a business plan and work a minimum of 35 hours per week at their business.

Successful applicants may receive up to $3,000 in interest-free loan money to be repaid by October 16th in order to receive up to a third reimbursed.

The final deadline for applications is Friday July 8th, 2005.
