Country Star Travis Tritt will roll into the Maritimes solo this October as he will perform nine shows in eight different cities throughout NB, NS, and PEI. Tritt had performed two sold out shows at Casino NB, Moncton in July 2010.

Due to the huge demand of the fans, PMD Concerts Inc. have decided to bring him back to perform a more intimate performance, much like he had done during a portion of his full band show in July 2010 in Moncton. Many fans had expressed their excitement for the acoustic part of the show and they had recommended bringing him back for a solo acoustic performance.

Travis Tritt will hit the stage in: Bathurst NB (October 1st), Yarmouth NS (October 2), Halifax NS (October 3 and 4), Sydney NS (October 5), Fredericton NB (October 7), Moncton NB (October 8), Charlottetown PEI (October 10), and Saint John NB (October 11).

Nova Scotia born artist, Ryan Cook will assume the support act role for all cities on the Maritime tour. On Ryan Cook’s sophomore album Peaks and Valleys, stories are born somewhere between small towns and big cities, and packed with sudden bursts of romance and tragedy. An award winning singer-songwriter from Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, Ryan’s sound is a smooth ensemble of Country/Western, Roots, Folk, and Jazz music.

Travis Tritt
Over the course of his 20-year career, this Georgian native has delighted fans and disarmed critics by exploring his deep love of hardcore country, flashing an ability and affinity for bluegrass, revealing unexpected sensitivity as a balladeer, winning respect as a formidable songwriter and, most emphatically, drawing widespread recognition as one of the greatest vocalists this genre has ever known.

All tickets go on sale Friday June 10th 2011 at all venue box offices and point of sales. See www.pmdconcerts.com for all details of the Maritime tour and a chance to win a trip for two to Nashville TN.

Tour dates:

October 1st- Bathurst NB, KC Irving Regional Center
October 2nd- Yarmouth NS, Mariners Center
October 3rd- Halifax NS, Rebecca Cohen Auditorium

This two day workshop at the Nova Scotia Agricultural College is for people who want to learn about the creation of garden items from natural materials. It is an opportunity to learn how to lead groups in creating natural garden structures using living willow.

The Instructor: Deb Hart, a talented artist from England

Instructor/Technician – Landscape Management, Writtle College

Deb Hart

Deb Hart has developed her own creative skills as a willow weaver and runs a series of successful workshops with students, visiting school groups, and keen amateur gardeners. She has been commissioned to create imaginative horse jumps, living walls, and sculpture. In addition, her work has been featured on the Writtle College campus. Pieces to be found there have included a range of functional garden items from structural supports for roses and innovative woven fences to fantasy inspired igloos and tunnels.

Participants in willow work classes have produced many garden features including abstract and animal sculptures, fences, and garden buildings. Deb has the ability to encourage the development of new skills and confidence in a friendly and supportive atmosphere.
