Your Town Throw Down, featuring talented Canadian country artists, Chad Brownlee, Deric Ruttan and Jason Blaine will roll into Casino NB’s Event Centre in Moncton for a performance on Saturday, October 19th at 8 pm.
Chad Brownlee (MDM Recordings Inc. / Universal Music Canada) had a showcase year in the country music world, recently topping things off with a 2012 Canadian Country Music Award (CCMA) nomination for Male Artist of the Year, and performing on the live national CBC TV broadcast of the awards show in September 2012. Since the release of his latest album, Love Me Or Leave Me in February 2012, the talented singer-songwriter has shown the industry that his popularity in country music is on the rise; quite literally as he was also the recipient of the 2011 Rising Star Award at the CCMA’s. In addition to his musical adventures, the Kelowna, BC born artist also announced a new partnership with the Tim Horton Children’s Foundation, visiting camps throughout Canada and leading music workshops with the campers this past summer.

Since signing a publishing deal with Sony/ATV Music Publishing and inking a recording contract with Disney’s Lyric Street Records, Ontario-raised, Deric Ruttan has been making his mark. Well-known for co-writing numerous hit songs, including Blake Shelton’s “Mine Would Be You”, Ruttan’s latest album, Up All Night, features songs written by Ruttan and many have been recorded by Dierks Bentley, including “What Was I Thinking” and “Lot of Leavin’ Left To Do.” His critically acclaimed self-titled album, Deric Ruttan (2003) earned him a 2004 Best New Solo Country Artist at the Canadian Radio Music Awards along with five Top Ten singles in Canada, (including the hits, “When You Come Around”, “Shine”, and “Take The Wheel”), and a Best Album nomination at the 2004 Canadian Country Music Awards. Male Vocalist and Rising Star nominations followed, as did Grand Ol’ Opry appearances.

Promoting his fourth and most recent CD, Life So Far, Pembroke, ON native Jason Blaine won the 2012 CCMA Single of the Year award for “They Don’t Make Em Like That Anymore”, which also went #1 for 14 weeks on Canadian Country Radio. The recording offers a collection of songs about family, relationships, good times and memories, all reflecting maturity and a sense of being at peace in his world. Blaine’s career kicked off with the release of his debut, independent full-length CD, While We Were Waiting (2005). Comprised of songs he wrote during and after college, the album included the Top 25 singles, “Heartache Like Mine”, “While We Were Waiting” and “What I Can’t Forget.” The album was re-released in 2006 on Icon Records. The follow-up, Make My Move, came out two years later on Koch (now eOne) and hit the Top 5 on the Canadian country album chart. The five singles included the Top 10 “Rock In My Boot” and Top 5 “Flirtin’ With Me”.
