All Welcome to Drama with Don Reading & Discussion

The Playwrights Atlantic Resource Centre (PARC) invites one and all to Drama with Don, a reading and discussion with renowned regional playwright and author Don Hannah.

parc He will read anecdotes of local and regional history from his upcoming memoir Missing the Zeitgeist, followed by a discussion on his writing and inspiration.

The evening will take place at The Captain George Anderson Octagonal House (27 Queens Road, Sackville NB) on August 1, 2013, beginning at 7:30 pm. Admission is free, and donations kindly accepted. Light refreshments will be provided.

This event is a promotion of the PARC Script Library, located next to the PARC office in the basement of the Crabtree Building on the Mount Allison campus. The Script Library currently houses over 400 Atlantic Canadian scripts and reference materials, and is growing. It is an excellent resource and repository for works of theatre by and about the region.

Don Hannah divides his time between Toronto and the East Coast. An award-winning playwright and author, his one man show The Woodcutter was produced in 2010 at the Working Title Festival in Edmonton, and his second one person show, The Cave Painter was produced in 2011, and was awarded the 2012 Carol Bolt Award. Both are published by Playwrights Canada Press. In 2008, he directed his play There is a Land of Pure Delight at Live Bait Theatre. His novels include Ragged Islands and The Wise and Foolish Virgins.
