The Fredericton Arts Alliance (FAA) is in desperate need of a new container for donations; one that is portable and encourages people to support our programs for the arts in Fredericton. At the moment, our donations container is a sad looking glass jar with a paper label taped on it. It’s not very pretty and it doesn’t enhance the FAA as an arts organization.
That’s where YOU come in. We want you to make a new container for us! This contest is open to everybody, including children, adults, artists, non-artists, etc.
– You must be able to put money in it
– The FAA must be able to easily get the money out
– It must be stable, so it can sit on a flat surface and not roll off
– It must be portable so we can take it to events
– It should clearly indicate that it’s for donations
– It should be creative!
The winner will receive a one year membership to the FAA, and a small cash prize.
Submissions can be dropped off at the Artists in Residence studio in the Soldiers’ Barracks (corner of Queen and Carleton) from until August 13, between 10am – 5pm Mondays to Saturdays, and from noon – 5 pm on Sundays.
Please include your name, phone number and email address with your submission.
The winner will be announced on August 14, 2012.
If you have any questions, or comments, email firstname.lastname@example.org, or call the FAA phone line at (506) 443-9900.
About the FAA
The FAA is a non-profit organization that promotes and supports the arts in the Fredericton region. Founded in 1999, the organization was created in response to an identified need for artists in all disciplines in the greater Fredericton region to have a collective voice. The mandate of the Arts Alliance is to educate and advance the public’s understanding and appreciation of the arts by promoting and supporting the arts through increased public awareness and by connecting the Arts to community. They represent all artistic disciplines including visual art, craft, writing, music, dance, film and theatre.
