
The Arthritis Society’s New Brunswick Division is excited to present The Arthritis Society Celebrity Roast on Saturday, June 2, 5:30 p.m. at the Trade and Convention Centre, 1 Market Square, in Saint John, New Brunswick. This year, we are honouring J. Scott McCain, President and Chief Operating Officer, Agribusiness Group Maple Leaf Foods Inc.
Scott McCain was appointed to his current role in 1999, having previously held the position of Executive Vice President. The Agribusiness Group is comprised of Maple Leaf Agri-Farms, the Company’s hog production operations, and Rothesay, Canada’s largest recycler of animal by-products with a mandate to grow through innovation.
Prior to joining Maple Leaf Foods Inc. in 1995, Mr. McCain was Vice-President for Production, McCain Foods Limited in Canada. Mr. McCain joined McCain Foods Limited in 1978 where he held progressively senior positions in manufacturing and operations.
A native of New Brunswick, Mr. McCain has served as CEO of the Saint John Sea Dogs since having played a pivotal role in bringing the expansion franchise to the Port City in 2005.
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Mount Allison University and is a director of Maple Leaf Foods Inc., Canada Bread Company, Limited, McCain Capital Corporation and McCain Foods Group Inc. He is a member of the Board of Regents at Mount Allison University.
