Three More Awards Handed Out at ECMA’s in Moncton

Ghettochild received the award for African-Canadian Recording of the Year.

Friday the 13th was a lucky night for three more EC MA winners. It was an eclectic night of international sounds and celebrations as East Coast Music Week continued in Moncton last night. The winners are:

African-Canadian Recording of the Year
Ghettochild for In the Making

World Recording of the Year (presented by Legault Companies)
Keith Mullins for Localmotive Farm

Loud Recording of the Year
Shelter With Thieves for Someday Is Never Soon Enough

The awards were handed out at partnered stage showcases, which highlight many of Atlantic Canada’s up and coming music stars, including Tradition, Lindsay Barr, Ghettochild, Keith Mullins, Racoon Bandit and ECMA 2012 Pop Recording of the Year winner, Ria Mae.

Additional music awards will be presented tonight at various official showcases and partnered stages. Music and industry awards will also be handed out at the Industry Awards Brunch today. The remainder of music awards will be presented at The Bell Aliant 2012 East Coast Music Awards Gala. Delivered by UPS, the Gala is being hosted by Roch Voisine and will take place at Casino New Brunswick’s Event Centre on Sunday evening at 7:30 p.m.
