This was the best exchange of conversation with an author at her reading that I have ever experienced. Carla’s passion for the subject matter that her character is struggling with regarding our environment is offered by her in such an educational way that her audience became totally drawn into conversation.
We came away with such an understanding of how, as the author, Carla was obsessed by her book character. She had to release him onto the pages of her manuscript each and every day until his story was given words through her to us.
Personally, I was captivated by
~Carla’s enthusiasm and shared experience,
~her character’s formulated process of becoming know to us through her and
~the educational insight into the issues that were given light by the total story her book offers.
The way that her character demonstrates his angst, his obsession and his infected life is shared with attention to every detail of the human side of what the issues generate around him.
All that from just the author’s reading selections from her book “Amphibian” at W.O.W. (Words On Water)! Now on to reading the book….I am anticipating an awesome journey through the pages!!!
Thanks for sharing yourself with us Carla. Much appreciated and enjoyed.
