What a wonderful story. A meaningful message to all of us moms (stay at home or working ) that try to do the best we can for our children. Your writing conveys to the reader the feelings that your characters have within a short story, which can be difficult with a limited amount of words to do it in. I hope you continue to write stories, and see many more of them published in the near future.

Loved this story. I just spent a week this past Halloween sewing eleven pumpkin costumes for my fourteen year old daughter and her friends. I taught many of them how to sew. I could see how proud my daughter was of our final product. I hope she will remember this when she is an adult and pass the love on to her children. It was great to be a “cool” mom if only for a week. This story reminds me that those efforts really do count.

Excellent message packed tightly in this clearly heart-felt story that could only come from someone with experience as a mother. Lots of emotion and depth conveyed in a story that is sure to repeat itself over and over again in people’s lives from now to the end of time. as i was reading your story it brought back memories of my daughter rachel in college who was dissapointed when i could not talk too long or be there all the time as other mothers were. i was single and fighting to pay my bills and my job was had lots of time pressure. i think about those times and this story healed one of my wounds…thanks you for sharing this,
