Rotary Fundraiser Ends Soon

Odds of winning a prize in the Rotary Club of Chatham’s “Hum-Dinger of a Project” fundraising event are excellent — one in 420.

But time is running out to purchase tickets to win a Limited Edition 2005 Hummer H2 SUT and cash prizes totalling $19,000. Labour Day is the deadline.

The draw will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Monday September 5th at the Rodd Miramichi River – A Rodd Signature Hotel, 1809 Water Street, in the City of Miramichi.

Cash prizes of $500, $1000, $2500, $5000 and $10,000 will be drawn for first, with all tickets being returned to the drum and eligible for the final grand prize drawing of the Hummer.

Should the winner not be Hummer-inclined, a resale could happen quickly as there are no more of the Limited Edition models available in Atlantic Canada. The vehicle is worth over $100,000.

So far 150,000 people have viewed the vehicle. If you haven’t had the opportunity to see it, there’s still time.

Three Hummers, including the Limited Edition H2 SUT, will be displayed all day at the Rodd Miramichi River Hotel where “Hum-Dinger” lunch and dinner specials will be available and live entertainment will lead up to the grand prize drawing.

This fundraising endeavour will raise money for local projects helping seniors, disabled people, and students in Miramichi.

In the past the Rotary Club of Chatham has supported undertakings like the Miramichi Life Line emergency telephone system for seniors or disabled people, the purchase of critical new equipment like the first CT Scan unit for Region 7 Hospital, scholarship programs at James M. Hill Memorial High School and much more.

As part of this year’s fundraising endeavour the club has also committed $100,000 to the French Fort Cove Eco-Centre, a landmark tourist attraction that will showcase Miramichi’s history and culture while promoting education and environmental awareness.

Purchase your ticket now before time runs out. Tickets are $100 and may be ordered online at hummer.mightymiramichi.com or by phone toll free at 1-888-735-7822.
