Our Featured Business Sandra’s Diner by Kellie Underhill

Sandra Price worked in restaurants for many years but she wasn’t
content to be just an employee.
Like many entrepreneurial-minded spirits she dreamed of the day when she
would hang out the sign with her name on it inviting customers to enter her very own restaurant.

Six months ago that dream finally came true with the opening of Sandra’s
Diner in Boiestown.
Throughout the years Sandra saw many people let their dreams slip by and
fade away because they were afraid to take a chance and she didn’t want to be one of them.

She was determined to have no regrets and make all her wishes come true.
"It was a dream I always had," she says. And so far, business has been
good.
Now that Sandra’s Diner is up and running, she enjoys it so much
she wishes she had done it years ago.

Sandra thinks it’s a good idea for young entrepreneurs to take the
chance and go into business for themselves to ensure their future.
She says there is so much opportunity available now with government funding
and programs for people who would like to start their own business that she’s surprised more of them don’t pursue
their dreams.

To create more jobs on the river Sandra thinks it’s important for
people to be creative and start new things.
"Go for it! Don’t wait," she says. "All you can do is try."
Specialising in home cooking, Sandra’s Diner offers daily specials.
While customers enjoy everything on the menu, the haddock fish ‘n chips are a really big hit with guests.

The restaurant is open Monday through Thursday 7 a.m. until 9 p.m. Friday
and Sunday 7 a.m. until 10 p.m. Sandra’s Diner is located at 6180 Route 8 in Boiestown.
For more information telephone (506) 369-2489 or visit her website where you’ll also find a copy of the menu.
