Tourism AGM to be held in Blackville

Miramichi River Valley Tourism (MRVT) invites you to an entertaining evening of learning, dance and great food. MRVT represents local tourist operators, municipalities, community organisations and citizens involved in the development and promotion of the region as a tourist destination.

Tickets are now available for their Annual General Meeting to be held on April 13th at the Father MacKinnon Hall on Main Street in Blackville.

The Miramichi River Valley offers tourists so much natural beauty, whether it’s viewed from a wilderness trail or the mystical, world famous river that joins our communities.

Getting back to nature — hiking, biking, and bird watching — is a growing trend in the tourism industry and the Miramichi River Valley effortlessly offers it all.

In order to prosper in a changing economy, new opportunities must be explored. Tourism affects everyone. Let’s make it our business!

Plan to attend MRVT’s AGM on Tuesday, April 13th, from 6 to 9 p.m.

A tantalising roast beef dinner will tickle your taste buds as representatives from the Tourism Industry Association of New Brunswick (TIANB) give an informative presentation discussing training and technology for the Miramichi region.

Our roots in the Miramichi River Valley run deep and none any deeper than the community of Metepenagiag, New Brunswick’s oldest village. Together we’ll travel back in time, excavating these roots, as students from the Metepenagiag School in Red Bank perform a traditional Mi'kmaq dance.

A meeting of Directors will follow the dinner.

Everyone is welcome!

Tickets cost $15 per person and may be purchased by contacting Stephanie Price or Jennifer Pond at (506) 369-2545. Email info@mrvt.ca

MRVT aims to make the Miramichi River Valley area a top tourist destination in New Brunswick. It’s your region, be a part of it. For more information about Miramichi River Valley Tourism visit their website at www.mrvt.ca .
