The most controversial film of the year is the most successful documentary
ever released on home video.
Michael Moore’s Academy Award winning Fahrenheit 9/11 arrived
in video stores October 5th. In this documentary Moore exposes things about the White House, namely George W. Bush, that the
average person may never have otherwise known — like the surprising connection between the Bush and the Bin Laden families
and the "business" of war.
He backs up his statements and accusations with documented proof, while
interviewing a wide range of Americans, republican and democrat alike.
The movie begins with the results of the 2000 presidential election, moves
into the September 11th attacks and then the war in Iraq. Because the images of that day are permanently burned in our minds,
he covers the terror of September 11th without showing a single image of the World Trade Centre.
Critics may say Moore is too hard on Bush. Others may say Leader of the
Free World is a position deserving high scrutiny, especially in declaring war on another country.
Regardless of where your political loyalties lie, Fahrenheit 9/11
will move you to tears as it honestly depicts what war is really like. I highly recommend taking the time to watch this film
if you missed it in theatres. Then make up your own mind, form your own opinions.
There are plenty of extras on this DVD including feature films about the
Cannes Film Festival where the documentary took top prize, Swedish Journalist Urban Homid’s eye-opening account of a
raid in Samarra, home video of Lila Lipscomb, mother of a fallen soldier in Iraq, at the Washington DC Premiere, and more.

Jennifer Keenan loves the movies.
From big Hollywood productions to smaller independent films, she memorises every line of her favourite characters, remembers
every detail from her favourite scenes. But the role Jennifer enjoys playing best is being a stay-at-home mom for her three
children. If you would like to request a particular DVD for Jennifer to review, email your suggestion to editor@breadnmolasses.com
