JMH Class of ’79 Reuniting
James M. Hill Memorial High School’s 1979 graduating class is planning
an informal 25th reunion on Saturday, July 17 at the Rodd Miramichi River hotel from 6 to 9 p.m.
The event coincides with Canada’s Irish Festival on the Miramichi.
The festival offers pubs, parades, children’s music and dance workshops and a variety of other adult and family activities,
all of which have made it a favourite homecoming weekend for the past 20 years. See http://www.canadasirishfest.com for more festival details.
The class of 1979 reunion will consist of a casual meet and greet including
a savoury selection of seafood and other hors d’oeuvres and choice of bar beverage. These will be served overlooking
the river in the heart of the Downtown Historic District. Tickets cost $25 per person. Reunion goers will be free to cap off
the night at the Lord Beaverbrook Arena pub or to make plans for more intimate gatherings elsewhere.
There is no mailing campaign associated with this reunion, so each 1979
graduate is asked to pass along this invitation to the other classmates with whom they’ve kept in touch. Staff members
at James M. Hill at the time are also invited.
Plan to attend and feel like a teenager again.
