SPCA ESSAY CONTEST
The SPCA Fundraising Office has launched an essay contest for children
12 years of age and under.
The subject is "Why I Love Animals." Children are asked to write a 1-2
page essay describing what their favourite animal or pet may be and why.
First, second and third prizes will be awarded in two categories: under
8 years old and 8-12 years old.
The essay form can be picked up at the SPCA fundraising office at 112 Ellen
St. located between Siddall’s Jewellery and Deux Maples Gallery.
By having this contest, the SPCA hopes to raise animal awareness and promote
kindness toward all animals. They feel that education starts with the children. All kids 12 and under can have loads of fun.
This contest will run for the month of March with the deadline being April
2.
