POETRY READING

A poetry reading with Sue MacLeod and Jill MacLean will happen at 8pm on Friday, May 28th, at the Attic Owl Bookshop, Main Street in Moncton, New Brunswick.

Sue MacLeod was born in Kingston, Ontario in 1955, and now lives in Halifax.

She has published two books of poetry, The Language of Rain (1995) and That Singing You Hear at the Edges (2003).

Sue has also won many awards and is the Inaugural Poet Laureate of Halifax (2001 - 2005).

Born 1941 in England, Jill MacLean moved to Nova Scotia with her family in 1950.

She has a Bachelor of Science from Dalhousie University and a Masters in Theological Studies at the Atlantic School of Theology.

Her poems have been published in a number of literary journals.

The Brevity of Red is her first collection and is a finalist for this year’s Atlantic Poetry Prize.

There is no admission fee for this evening of poetry and light refreshments will be served.
