You haven’t lived here if you haven't . . .

I live in Fredericton but do not get over to Chatham as much as I would like
to anymore. The thing I love to do when I go over is to get a coffee and sit along the river by the Rodd Inn and just watch that beautiful and mighty Miramichi River with all it's history right around it. I did stay at the Rodd Inn one September night last year and it was so beautiful to walk along the river bank in the evening and then again first thing in the morning, something I won't forget for a long time! Keep up the good work , this is a great site that was
brought to my attention by my nephew who is stationed in Germany! I can't
thank him enough for sending me this site!

. . . visited Saddlers Café.

An acquaintance recommended this site and I just love it. I was a former "Base Brat" in Chatham and married a town boy in 1967, but we go back occasionally for a visit with his family.

In 1996, I discovered Saddlers Café on Water Street in Chatham and was thrilled with their eclectic menu and decor. My brother, who now lives in Vancouver, has also made a couple of trips back in the past 8 or 10 years. He also found Saddlers Café, and loved it as much as I do. Quite a coincidence, as I hadn't told him about it.

We're looking forward to eating there again on our next trip next year, and wondering what delectable dessert will be on the menu then.

This forum is a neat idea, allowing us to keep up with things down home, and remember the old days, when life was simpler.

Thanks.
