Gone Fishin'!

"The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope."
-- John Buchan

"Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day."
-- Source unknown

"The curious thing about fishing is you never want to go home. If you catch anything, you can't stop. If you don't catch anything, you hate to leave in case something might bite."
-- Gladys Taber

A man had been fishing all day and hadn't caught a single fish. On his way home he stopped at the local fish market. When the vendor asked what he wanted, he said, "Just stand over there and throw me five of the biggest trout you have." "Throw 'em? What for?" asked the vendor. "So I can tell the wife I caught them," he said. "I may be a lousy fisherman, but I'm no liar."
